hey guys i just installed my cheapo mechanical coolant temp sensor on my b16...i havnt driven it yet..but i let it idle for a while..and its not going over 160 degrees....what is the normal operating temp?..im thinking it could also be caused by the weird place that i mounted it...its between some line going from the head into the intake manifold...i can post a pic if you guys need to see....

A better place would be to mount it some where along the top radiator hose. As long as it takes a reading from the head to the radiator.
