i got you're email about going down to the event but after a run in with theves on sat I decided to just stay home

 

I know this sounds weird but you cannot live in fear of your car. My car is on the top 10 most stolen car list. Just make sure you lock it up tight and have a good alarm. I even use the Autolock when I'm gone for 10 minutes at the mall.

 

nah im not living in fear, im fine now, just that evening and some of sunday i was still kinda in shock and decided i needed to sit down and make a plan of security stuff i need to do, to help prevent it next time.

that being said i'll be up at etown again for honda day, the theves can bite my a$$, i'll be ready for them this time so i'll see you there

Yeah the sound took some figuring out to do. Instructions said one way and when I did it I got no sound. I tried the way the don't recommend and I got sound. Go figure. I'm posting them on there tonigh. They are 30MBs

 

you get the sound videos in yet? btw, I love watching your videos, my fiance...well, she doesn't ...hehee she will never understand

 

Well I tried downloading them last night - total of about 80-100MB. Went to bed and woke up and it was still on the first video. So something happened. I got one on there tonight. Trying for the other 5 tonigh.

 

Got a question for ya....During this run are you in 2nd gear the whole way? Is this typical of all courses or just this one?

 

Most course are only 2nd gear because SCCA autocrosses should be limited to highway speeds, which in most cars is 2nd gear.

Sometimes you will have to downshift to first for tight corners, but that's rare.

Plus it's not all about speed but how good a driver you are. If you want pure line speed that's drag racing

And believe me being on an autocross course topping out at 8200rpms is pretty quick for most people.

and boy is that a short course.

 

You have to click on the larger files. There are smaller ones with no sound.

And Short? 40-50 seconds is about average for that lot during a winter series with snow and water on the ground.
