well i picked up a back up d16 tonight from a buddy for free, he said the motor didnt run when he pulled it out.

i got home tonight with the motor and started tearing into it, i pulled the head off and looked at the top of the pistons, they were coated with carbon/black buildup. i noticed something really odd, the number 4 piston looks like somebody took a die grinder to it and went to town, there are grooves everywhere on the dome of the piston.

so with that said, i took the oil pan off to inspect the crank, the crank was shattered, and there were misc.metal shavings in the oil pickup thingy(<---technical term ) with further inspection i noticed that the number 4-3- and 2 piston rods were just shattered.

so in your guys opinion what do you think happened? it looks to me that the motor was ran to lean with alot of boost or nitrous. sorry guys i dont have any pics.
