Default How do stop seats from fading?

i bought a pair of Corbeau Forza seats and the side edges are starting to fad. i remember from old post that hairspray can help stop fading. does that really work? don't they make your seats hard? also i think 3m makes some sort of spray that protects against uv rays, what's that crap called and where can i get it? and last question, is there a way i can dye the seats? they're black now, well, most of it still is.

There are some nice seat covers out there.... That's what I would do if I was worried about it. If you want to be bling bling, you can also reupholster your seats when they fade.

BTW, what color are they?

Yeah, my back seats have this trace of purple to them because the previous owner of my car never tinted the windows. The only option at this point would be to replace the seats.
