I have been looking into the diffirences between lost motion assablies and have pretty much decided on ordering a set of ITR ones. my question is does anyone know the cheapest place for me to get a set of new ones?

Part# 14820-P73-J01. http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org has them for $30, haven't seen anything lower yet, though I've never looked all that hard.

 

is there a difference btwn the lma between the vtec heads? ie b16a2 head and the r head?

 

Different part #s, so I'd say yeah.

 

the ITR LMAs are supposed to be a little stiffer than the GSR/B16 LMAs. people sometimes switch out their B16/GSR LMAs when going to a some-what aggressive cam like the Toba Cs or Jun IIIs.

if you are running a 1st gen B16 head (12 years old) with Toda Cs or Jun IIIs, it might not be a bad idea to switch out the LMAs for ITR parts as well as swapping out the valvetrain.

The ITR lma's can handle more aggressive cams (higher Vtec lobe lift) better than the GSR/B16A lma's. It has something to do with more the increased travel of the ITR lma's.
