would i need to upgrade my injectors only running the stock greddy kit boost on my d16y8? Would i run too lean without upgrading?

 

your stock injectors should do fine at 5-6 psi.

 

thanks . I got in an argument with a friend over this topic and i am just trying to prove him wrong that this setup can be run safely with 5-6psi on stock injectors. Anyone else got anything else to add?

 

might want to upgrade the fuel pump. i was detonating on 91 octane at 5.5 psi with 2-step-colder NGKs. i upgraded the fuel pump with an intank Walbro 255, and the problem was cured.

anybody running this setup with only 5-6psi or have anything else to contribute?

 

when i was running stock boost with stock injectors & fuel pump, I was running lean up top. This wasn't with the blue box though. I switched to 270cc injectors and my problems dissappeared.

 

i am still using the blue box at stock boost

no fuel upgrade at all

i just used 2 steps colder plugs.. and that's it...

everything is fine for 15 months already

i would add a ACT clutch and a intercooler with the greddy kit for stock boost
