Recently got pulled over for a loud exhaust (skunk2 catback), and the cop gave me a repair order. Any chance of my passing the test with the silencer in?? Exhaust is very loud...not too sure about with the silencer.

no way, that thing is LOUD.

 

how exactly do they test it, what do they just rev it up to a ceratin rpm? Depending on how high/low of the rpm, i think it may have a chance....with silencer of course

Here in WA cops must place the db meter at a 45 deg. angle from the tip, at about 5000RPM.

 

5000 rpm's?? Im screwed
