Have you ever used one of those pocket fans to cool yourself off???....You can put those electric "turbos" in the came category of Stuff that Sucks
I remember someone posting a webpage about one of those..they acutally tested it and everything....found out its a fan you get at a marine store for $17 or something really cheap like that....well anyways when they were done testing it....it became good friends with a baseball bat

Ok..I will..its a piece of ****!
About 2 years ago I met a guy over a superhonda.com who called himself 'wickedLou'..might want to look him up. He bought one of these POS's from http://www.electricsupercharger.com. He had to cut his $150 AEM CAI on his Accord (because the it didn't fit on the tip) and installed the inline electric fan.
From that day on his car ran like ****. Everytime that thing powered on at WOT, it made the car lose power (opposite of the desired affect)... and it dimmed his lights and was a huge drain on the battery.
He played around with it for weeks if not months trying to get it to work. Even contemplated buying larger injectors and an AFC. No dice...the thing still ran like crap.
Finally he realized that he got ripped and called Mark (owner and inventor) and asked him for advise...what he got was double-talk and the run around..."try this...oh...maybe its this..hmm...it always works on my cars"...yadda yadda yadda.
Lou finally asked mark for a refund since satisfaction was guaranteed, or so his web-site claimed. Mark responded by saying..."I'll happily give you your money back if you would go to a dyno and prove it didn't work"...SMIRK...you see where this is going. Lou asked if he'd be (rightfully) reimbursted the cost of the dyno session if it didn't work, and of course the answer was 'no'. So poor Lou was out $299 + a damaged AEM CAI + whatever is cost him to try to get it to work.
Most peeps would just leave it at that, but so many people wanted to talk to Mark about his fantanstic revolutionary invention. So I invited him over to one of my forums and let the people ask the questions. they were very good ones as well and Mark skillfully dodged every single one with absolute jibberish! One of my favorites was:
Q: since the fan only spins at WOT, doesn't it become a restriction an other time?
A: The only restriction at partial throttle is the throttle plate.
Hmm,,,doesn't quite answer the question does it...but thats all he kept saying. The questions continues to become more and more difficult for him to answer and so he eventually disappeared.
Bottom line: its crap!..good power isn't cheap! so if you don't believe me, then I guess you'll have to learn it the hard way...

The only way to provide enough electric power to manage even 1 psi of boost is to start with a pickup truck. Fill the entire bed with batteries, then run wires about the size of your forefinger to some sort of mutant rat cage fan sitting on top of your hood. There. That should provide you with a fan that pushes enough cfm's at 1-2 psi of boost. Good luck with the alternators...
People don't realize the amount of air moved by a turbo or supercharger at full boost. It's amazing!

What I was thinking. Then again, he would come back here and tell us it didn't work.

if you can manage to make boost with that product, it would probably manage to make more gains than intake alone for n/a setup.. i guess using it with cai, adding some fuel and adjusting timing may bring some results..
although.. i'd like to see what cfm can that product make, some type of flowchart or compressor map.. after that, its possible to do the math and see how it would work on the car.

that thing is crap! my brother and his buddy tried one and it was worthless!! peice of **** broke on them after 2 days and they couldn't even get their refund back. pushing air without any engine/fuel management and making power is crap.

At least you have something useful if it doesn't work!
