Default my soon to be for sale project

well we are wrapping up my crx project and i will most likely be selling it after it's done if the offer is right. the car has a lot of money and time into. the chasis itself has around 120k on it and the motor only has about 30k itself right now. here's some pics of our progress. all that's left as of today is making the piping for the kit which i have local shop that's really good with mandrel bends doing. tell me what you think and what kind of $ i could get out of it once it's completed (it will be dyno tuned once it's all done with hondata s200 with boost option).

Looks like I'll be the first to ask, what set-up? Nice car.

the most obvious question is why you are abondoning your project when you are 98% done.

Car looks really nice. You do know if you sell, you are unlikely to get any where near the value you put into it. (Costs and your own time) Good luck on the sale though.

man, this bring back some bad memories. putting a 16 into an EF was my first swap i ever did(probably the hardest swap other than h22 swaps), then on top of that, putting a turbo in it was also my first turbo install( also probably the hardest turbo install with b16 swap because there's no room to run the plumming). have fun with your project though. i'm planning on selling my EF soon too, getting ready for project EG.

i have a 350z to start working on after this is done. i'm doing it just for ***** and giggles. i also want a house and i don't need 2 cars for myself. as far as cost, i haven't really put all too much into it. as far as setup

it's a garret t3/t4 turbo, type-s blow off valve, drag manifold with a tial wastegate. for the motor it has ctr cams and that's it internally. the wastgate is set at 8psi and that's what it will run all the time. gsr front suspension components (axles blah blah blah) tokico blues along with eibach sportlines all around. new ES bushings master set along with new steering control arms, rear lower control arms and bushings, new tie rods and a few other things. rims are axix VPD's in 16inches. the car is an HF of course so it's light. before we started adding the turbo it would already break traction in 3rd. it pulls and will pull even harder even at mild boost setups. i'm pretty much doing this just for fun as i said. the battery has also been relocated to the rear of the car. the s2k seats are really nice. it also has a b&m short shifter with a type-r shift ****. there is no AC and no heat in the car. it also has a a full HKS exhaust with a catco high flow cat. there is a lot of time and money invested into this but the ultimate answer to your question is i'm looking at buying a house, i don't need the money for a down payment but it would knock of a little on my down payment.

please exuse my spelling and typeo errors i'm drunk

they got most of the piping done and i'm waiting for my new radiator to come in along with a few other parts. we are bulding a new downpipe also along with another dump tube.

what size injectors should i be running for 8psi setting?

stock injectors would be fine but if ur running hondata i would upgrade to 440 minimum.

BTW, every $1000 u add towards a down payment only knocks off $7 towards ur monthly mortgage.

also love those s2k seats. i wonder if they would fit a GSR

yes they would but you need to do some modification to get them to fit.

damn, nice work, but you're not gonna make nearly that much back. i enjoy workin on my car as well as driving it, but i think you could have stopped at the engine swap. it'll be a little harder to sell a car with no ac AND no heat to people who have seasonal weather. plus if you're sayin that it broke traction with just the swap, then your lookin at major traction issues once you're boostin.

save your cash so you can put that directly into gettin ur house and not into the car so you can get less back. still, nice setup and nice ride

Ill give you $1500

You could probably get $3500+ out of it, the problem is finding the right buyer.

if someone offered me 3500 for it after it's all done i would laugh in their face. you can barely by a stock crx in good condition here for that much. i wouldn't demand a lot but 3500$ is less than most cars go around here with just the swap done.

traction won't be nearly as much of an issue when i get done. we are going to do a few little mods to help it out.

more pics. we ended up flipping the turbo around. we are going to have to manufacturer a new down pipe which is no biggie. so far everything is looking good and all the piping is coming together now. i ordered my new radiator and a few 90degree silicone elbows. should be ready pretty soon.

picture of us modifying the existing down pipe

blow off valve and intercooler piping

wastegate, manifold and turbo. we are manufacturing a a new dumptube also to tie into the downpipe.

I don't know many people who are going to be willing to pay 5000+ for your car when you can get an eg swapped for around that price....

CRX's go for around 500-1500 here in philly area...

i'd like see you more pics after you complete your setup. i dont think ive seen an EF with turbo facing the other way. most people just use an aftermarket front cross member or cut and hammer the old one. i'm assuming that you are going to use an EG radiator, it's not going to fit because it too tall for the stock X-member.

i've already ordered a fluidyne radiator. this was the easiest way to set it up.

if people are selling crx with b16a's with ctr cams s2000 seats and all the other mods done to mine for 1500$ let me know where to buy one because i could make a fortune selling them here in this area.
