#People who have DC5 or EP3
It seems to be that there are more EP3 questions in the forum than the DC5 ones so im assuming youll see more EP3 owners on the poll...

Ya pretty weird how there was no traffic in this forum up until they made it EP3/DC5. Now it actually is worth reading. The number of EP3s on HondaTech seems to grow exponentially.
Give me a break. I have yet to see any EP3 for 16k. In fact I will not believe that unless I see a valid purchase order from a dealer.
Some dealer might have advertised a demo for that price to drum up business. Probably used the ol' bait and switch marketing ploy.

My own EP cost $15,995. One of my store managers also bought one for $15,995. My friend Victor bought one for $15,600.
It's of no particular consequence to me whether you believe it or not.

I am not novice at car deals. I have probably purchased at least 9 new cars and have read all the consumer reports, car buying guides, etc. Not to mention, I purchased a 02 Accord Special Edition from this same dealer one month earlier for my wife. The sticker on that one was 21,550 including dest. We purchased that car for $18,900. $2600 off the sticker. So that was a great deal. This dealer really wanted to sell me the 02 SI as I was a repeat customer.
So, how y'all are buying EP3's for $15,900, I don't know. I guess if you add the options I got, the price would be around $16,900. And that is $2,200 less than the best deal I could get. You should feel fortunate.........
Well today I just bought a 03 EP3(3/17/03).. it was 20,200 on the sticker because he had floormats and the sports package.. I got him down to 250 over invoice which made it 18,040 and with everything out the door the finally deal is 18,140. I say I got a good deal but then again not as good as 15,600 but then again I got a 03

I bought mine back in June, 2002 for 17,400 with 18 miles on the OD (12 of it from my test drive). Can't seem to vote on this forum though...probably because I'm new.
Got mine in Denver Colorado last november for $15,699 OTD --- it was an 02 in black and had the si floor mats and tinted windows and a clear bra.... They sold it for so cheap because no one was buying them and they had 03s in already ---- now days people are starting to like them, they are selling better, all the 02s are gone and the prices have returned along with the demand. Dont be mad because you cant get a good deal... email/call all the internet based dealers in your state... you'll find a cheap left over 02 -- MAYBE!
I love my RSX, and there are reasons why this part of the forum was dead, mostly because there was a lot of RSX slagging, and the Blah blah blah my Teg is better than your RSX threads, Which I think caused most RSX owners to switch to clubRSX. Just my .02
My Ep is a 2002 which I bought in Jan. It was the last one in new cars and I got it for 14995 + floor mats, tint, alarm, and extended warranty---which now is going to be voided since I am putting a K20A2 in it. Wait Im not putting it in, Lute Riley Honda is since they blew up my K20A3 motor on monday and cant get a new A3 from the UK right now. I think out the door I paid 16,230.

Look, maybe I over stated my case. Do most of you all live in import crazed Cali? I live in Missouri. The market must be alot tougher here. I purchased my 02 SI last August for $19,100. The sticker for the base car was 19,300 including dest. charge. It had the honda fog lamps, honda security system attachment, trunk tray, and floor mats added as options. This took the sticker up to $20,300. The car was sitting on the showroom floor as a manger's special marked down to 19,300 and had 23 miles on it. I really had to dicker with them just to get the price down another $200 to $19,100.
