I recently bought hasport engine mounts for my 89 civic HB, and I intalled a LS/VTEC. I was wondering if you guys know how to make clearence for the hood. My hood hits the valve cover just a little bit. Please help

 

You can cut a little of the webbing out of the hood. Or just let it rub like I did. But I just have a standard LS engine in mine. I'm not sure how much bigger the vtec head is. And I've also heard of people using washers to space Drivers side mount up a little.

 

yopu might need an aftermarket hood, ls/vtec sounds pretty fast, what do you run?

take the padding off the hood. I maybe rub a bit, buts a hell of lot better then waiting money on a new hood.

 

ive cut all the webbing out were its hitting. But it still rubs!
