Well, it seems like the only code i'm throwing is the knock sensor code (23) and that's because it's not plugged up.
I can be cruising along, let's say 40, and i want to get up to forty five and i'm in forth i'll just press the pedal, well it seems like it doesn't want to go, unless i press harder on the gas, well, when i do, i can hear the engine, kinda kick in, before it just kinda sputters and then it kicks in, then i can let my foot off the gas and press it like it was normal again, for a couple of seconds, it's really annoying. I'm thinking maybe it's my coil, I just swapped a b16, and i changed the sparkplugs, wires, cap and rotor, so i'm wondering if the little beast's coil is going out. please help. It also seems that this only happens after the car is warmed, but maybe it does it when it's cool, i just don't rev very high until it's warm.

ps. I have the hasport sub-harness so i know everything is wired up correctly into the ecu. Thanks so much.

I say check the coil if not the whole distributer, I had the same problem in my hatch(stock motor). the car wanted to go but it kept cutting out and then finally wouldn't start.good luck.

 

yeah, that sounds similar to when my coil went out......when i would get on the gas while cruising it would sputter until like 3000 rpm's, kinda like a cylinder was missing completely,(it probably was). an msd coil fixed it.

 

ok, well right now i don't have the cashola to fork out for the new cap( i know you can use the accord one) and I also don't ahve the cashola for the new coil, but my buddy has got one that he just took out of his 94 del sol vtec, so can i use his coil? Are they identical? his worked fine but he upgraded to msd. Thanks.

 

it was my 02 sensors they were backwards.

 

Nope... his Sol coil is diff... its OBD1...

Look at his and yours, you will notice the piece in the middle of yours is in the middle, and that piece of the obd1 coil is on the side... I forget what its called, its the piece that sticks out.
