welded differential
exactly how hard would it be to make turns and what now with a welded differential? Damn near impossible or just difficult? For those who dont know a welded differential makes both wheels spin at same rates FOREVER!
simple, advantage is traction
, mostly for straightline, but i just wanted to know if it would be streetable. its for a possible project car.

so you'd seriously consider absolutely ruining your car's drivability for negligible gains (if any) in the 1/4?
get traction bars or something.. welding your differential is just plain stupid.

you could make turns but it would be completly unstreetable. when ever you would turn your tires would start hopping around, cause the outside wheel needs to turn faster than the inside wheel when turning. just get an LSD if you want better traction.
Welded differential is bad idea for any car but a drag car. Handling will suck, driving around town and taking corners will suck, tire wear and wear and tear on your front suspension will suck. Seeing a trend here? Get better tires and a LSD if you want better traction.

If it's a straight drag car only (and I'm talking trailered, never driven on the street), do it.
