one day paint jobs?
My si really needs to be painted, but its also my only means of transportation. Thus, I must ask you guys..are there any shops that do one day paint jobs? If it does exist, what are the out comes of the paint job itself?
p.s. I did a search and it didnt come up with anything helpful to my questions. thanks all.

yeah, apparently maaco is the king of 1-day jobs. i've heard horror stories. heresay aside, the facts are, they do very basic jobs, even at the highest paint preference level. the outcome of your job from maaco is all dependant on 1) how much you pay, and 2) the skill of the employees working at the maaco you go to. This same thing goes for Earl Scheib and most other 1-day places.
maaco is fine. many posts are on here bout them and there is nothing wrong with them.
Someone may be able to do a nice job in a day ie the beautiful integra in this thread. But a one day shop will not. Basically a job that costs you less than 1k will be substandard.
Some peoples interpretation of a nice or even decent paint job are different. If you think painfully obvious orange peel and 1 stage paint and clearcoat that dulls in three months is good than by all means.

Yes you can get it done for that much. But you won't be getting a metallic black like how OEM is, meaning how OEM has those little metallic flakes in their paint, Maaco can do a flat looking black for that much. It will still have a nice gloss to it but it just won't look very matched if you go up close. Who knows, it may be very noticeable without the flakes even from far away.. I dunno.
