car wont rev up
i have a 91 civic dx, i finally got the car to start and idle but it wont rev up when the throttle is turned. it did rev up a couple times but it would sputter and die when it did, every other time it wouldnt do anything. Sometimes it idles fine and other times the RPM's rise and fall and then it will stay constant for a while and then go back to rising and falling. It's not throwing any codes and i put new gas into it, so could this maybe be the fuel filter? if not what could it be?
i dont think his problem would be timing, because i checked my timing(both ignition and cam/crank timing) and its dead on and it still does what he says. im starting to think its electrical because when i first start the car it will rev normal but once the ecu does all its checks the car wont rev, and the only code its throwing is a code 22 which is the vtec pressure switch? i dont get it...
