Ugh!! Chewing gum in seat, help!
Ok, sometime during todays AutoX, I sat down in some chewing gum!
And I did not notice until after my first run the gum managed to get itself "weaved" into the fabric of the seat (the middle cushion part). Anyone have suggestions as to what will get it out but at the same time not damaged my Rs seat?
TIA...

This stuff called 'Goo Gone' works really well at removing gum. It's this orange liquid that comes in a plastic bottle with a black screw on cap. Probably should be able to find it at any hardware store. I'm not sure how it would react to the fabric though, I know I've de-gummed many shoes with the stuff. On the plus side, it smells like oranges
IT SMELLS LIKE ORANGES! Who can argue with the sweet smell or oranges?!
Ok, ok, don't use goo gone
I've got your recipies... You're THROUGH, Soup ****!

I would use the ice method. Try to freeze it, and pic out the small pieces. Then clean the whole area with a mild detergent solution, and scrub w/ a brush.

Had this problem, Forget all the methods above.
I went to an Upholsterer and his suggestion was a bit of Laquer thinner on a rag and just dab the gum. It breaks down the gum in seconds and its GONE. Doesn't harm the seat either.

Thanks to all who offered help
not sure if it works on seats, but mousse (hair styling stuff) works really well when gum gets tangled in kid's hair.
LOL, peanut butter too right?
