how do u change the power distrib. of an awd/4wd car?
I believe you need to replace the center diff with one that allows for variable front/rear torque bias. I am willing to bet these are pretty much race-only parts and cost about as much as most used audis.
the tt is audi's oddball (except for the a3, which is EDM only). tt uses haldex software (also seen in the new VW Golf R32) to electronically move torque front/back. it's FWD with rear assist as needed. all other audi's (with longitudinal engine configurations) use a torsen center differential which is mechanical and provides a pretty much 50/50 front rear split. the newest issue of SCC has a good writeup on different awd methods. in response to your post, I assume you want to make the TT more rwd than fwd? as far as I know, no one's hacked the haldex, but who knows...theres alot you can do with a chip!

I don't think its actually in the engine control unit...I think the electronics are integrated into the center diff itself.
