I'm going to be doing a base, graphic, then pearl, then extra clear. (I'm going to be on the gumball, which is rough on paint jobs, so it's ok if it doesn't turn out 100% great, I just don't want it to look like ***... I'll be re-doing it after the event, but it has to look at least halfway decent in April)

I'm doing the front the stock Azure blue/grean pearl, the back a dark BMW midnight blue, and two thin viper silver graphic/stripes running diagnal (from back/top window to front bottom going from fat to thin) seperating the two. Then I'm going to shoot an electric blue pearl on top of all of this... then a fat to thin bronze graphic/stripe from the front to the back curving down, and then clear the whole thing. I'm making it tasteful, but unique... don't worry, it won't be gaudy.

My questions just cause I don't want to screw this up (I've done basic spray jobs before, just nothing this detailed):

Am I doing this in the right order? How do you think this combo of color will turn out with the blue pearl on top?

Also, how many coats of pearl would you lay on top? I want it to show up, but I don't want it hazy.

Any tips for me when I start spraying and laying out the graphics?

all that pearl might end up looking funny.

Paint it before the gumball, and just wear a bra

 

um... it's just one pearl, but over different paint.
