I have a 88 crx dx with zc dohc engine. MSD ignition, fuel rail and regulator, and air intake. While driving to work today the car just cut completly off. Dash lights and check engine light came on. Got it to work and checked timing belt, still in one piece. Checked cams to make sure not broken and both were turning at each end. Checked for fire at spark plug wire and had none check at coil wire and had none. checked for power to msd blaster 2 coil and had none. Thought that msd bo took a dump. installed coil back in distributor like it came stock still no fire. Replaced ignitor still no fire. Then noticed that i had no fuel pressure also. checked for power and ground at injector wire had 1 ground on the and no power. I am lost now, bad comp? bad distributor?

any suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it could be the main relay by the fuse box....to check it, turn the key on and the check engine light should come on then go off and when it goes off you should hear the relay click, if it doesn't, then its bad. hope that helps.

 

Main relay is located where? When i turn the key on the check engine light comes on and stays on. what does the main relay control?

 

the light should go out after a few seconds. its located down by the drivers kick panel by the fuse box
