2003 CR-V and 2003 RS-X interchangeable parts ??
Just curious, I noticed that both the CR-V engine and the RS-X engine look very similar. Is there any compatibility between them ?? For example, I'd like to get the red TypeR valve cover for the RS-X and use it on my CR-V ... am I on the right track ??
the valve cover should fit.
the head & block are interchangeable among virtually all k series motors. The differences are in the valvetrain, intake manifold, tranny, etc.
but they're about as modular as the b-series motor, so you'll see some real frankenstiens soon - like type-s heads on k24 blocks.

I might be wrong but i thought the CRV blocks and the RSX blocks have different heads. I thought the cast was different but i could be wrong.
But yea many 2.4 blocks will be out since now not only the CRV has them but the TSX and Accords

Will have a beer can posing as an Oil catch can.
But i have already seen 4 wrecked accords with 2.4 blocks in them at work. So im sure that many will be getting them.

How are they going to solve the problem of the long stroke the CR-V has with the high revving nature of the K20A/2 head? Wouldnt it be turning crazy RPM's? Could they produce the same horsepower as a Type-S maybe a little more, and alot more torque just at a lower rpm so as to not risk shooting a piston through the head?

I plan to trademark my own fix to this exact problem.............I think I will call it :BOOST:

you would have to change the pistons out ,and I would take the entire head apart and get it opened up so the head mates to the block and cc the combustion chambers .alot of time and money
