Default Aem bypass valve

For those of you with experience with AEM's cold air intake bypass valve - does it work, or is it a piece of trash... will your engine still go under? if not what intake do you recommend?

okay, your intake has to be fully submerged in water to get hydrolocked. so, when your intake is fully submerged in water, you have a 99.9% chance f getting hydrloced, but wtih the bypass valve, you have a 70% chance of getting hydrolocked. some people say its bad and you lose power, not true.
