i just installed my mini meand my ecu blinks short 20 times ...what code is this?

 

Are there any pauses between any of the flashes? A code 20 is usually two long flashes. You could have a few different codes.

 

no its just 20 short blinks then a pause than 20 short blinks....its a 88 si ECU if that helps ...also am i reading the blinks right/ are there any tricks?

 

Are you sure there are no pauses in between any set of flashes? A code 20 is Electrical Load Detector.

with an electric load ur car shoudlnt start
mine didnt
all it did was funny and crazy shiet with my lights, dash , and shiet
got fixed by sanding down all the GND's and makin sure they were all good.. thermostat housing, the tranny one, the one that goes into chasiis

 

is there a procedure that you do to gett the codes or just turn the car on and count how many times the light blink's?

 

Electrical load Sensor has nothing to do with the grounds,from what i was told there is a sinsor in the fuse box on the right fender under the car,onle Si have it , ive had that code for 2 years with no problems and all you have to do is change fuse boxes, get an Si one

well im not to sure about the 88-91's but for my 95 civic the fuse box must be changed to fix it as well. i baught another one but havent gotten around to changing it yet to see if it got rid of the code.
