Serious radiator problem.
I was driving around and I ussialy dont pay attention to the temp gauge, because nothing has been wrong with the car. So I pull up to my drive way, and the D4 starts blinking then the P starts blinking then the oil light starts blinking and my car shuts off, I look at my temp gauge and its all the past up red... so i put it in nuetral push it up, open my hood and the radiator is COLD it has not been cooling the engine at all.
I think the emerg. fan came on to cool off the engine for a while. I hope the car has not been damaged. I NEED to use the car by tommorow so any ideas would be greatly appreciated and I'll check every post early in the morning and start trying to fix the problem.
The radiator is fairly new, I got a new one around 5 months ago.
95 lx auto, please help im desp.

if it was not even circulating coolant then the radiator might not be your problem... I would not shell out the money so quickly for a replacement.
if no coolant is even making it through the hoses... the thermostat and/ or waterpump are most likely bad.

i just checked and i dont have a emergency fan ... where do i get one ????
i think that you either may have no coolant or a stuck thermostat or a bad water pump open up the radiator when running and rev it up at the same time and see if the water churns if it doesent buy a water pump and change the thermostat .... if it has been a while for your timing belt then do that too at the same time ...

Check your oil for signs of coolant/water and your coolant for signs of oil. Hoepfully you did not crack your block or blow a gasket seal. If you did get to shop if you can.
Sounds like thermonstat and/or water pump. But usually a water pumps bearings will go and you see coolant leaking pretty heavilly. I would suspect the thermostat at this point.
This may sound siily but make sure you are checking the coolant radiator. Its the one closer to the engine with the fans attached to it.

Alright I found something strange, this morning upon examing my engine further I found out that the house that attaches to the radiator (the one on the bottom of the radiator) was NOT attached ?!?!
I think this is the hose that runs the hot coolant from the engine to the radiator to be cooled again. I attached it back up and ran the engine, and it started getting hotter than ussual, did all of the coolant drain itself while I was driving yesterday?
Now the car also has an irratic idle just from 2k to 1k and back up again, it used to be 750.
After the engine ran for a bit and I noticed that the temp gauge went up above the middle mark and kept going up, so I shut off the engine and the radiator was still cold. Do I need to drain the radiator and put new anti-freeze in? I think the oil also needs to be changed, because it looks burnt... pretty brown T_T.

Is it the white container next to the radiator? If it is... its on the minimum level, so I should still have coolant running through the radiator right?
I'm a highschool kid, I don't have enough money for towing, and if its something simple like thermostat, I can replace it.
btw, there is no coolant spilling anywhere or any leekage that I am aware of. Is it possible that my thermostat was damaged when there was no coolant flowing through the engine due to the disattachment of the hose? What else could have happened?

in my opinion you may just have air in your system look for the air bleed screw and open it up and fill the radiator till it starts to have coolant come out of it then close it up and drive it i believe that is the problem because if you dont bleed the system your idle will jump between 1-2K ..... tho other reason that makes me believe this is that your lower radiator hose was off so that means there was no coolant in the engine ... and if you didnt bleed it when you filled it up this will happen ... just try it and see what happens let us know too....... we like to know when we are right or even when we are wrong ....

If you are lucky Stripped Honda is right.
Connect the lower hose and fill up the radiator till water comes out the air bleed valve. The air bleed valve is on top of the thermostat housing on my 97EX. The thermostat housing should be on the engine side of the lower hose. Again, on the 97EX its bolted onto the intake manifold. Its a pain to get to and I would rate the job of changing out the thermosat 3 to 3.5 on a 10 scale. I just did it on my 97EX but I had the intake manifold out anyway and figured I may as well change out wear parts.
