How do i find out the manufacture date of my ZC engine?

there is a stamp on the ZC, but if the motor is already in the car, you may have a hard time finding it. Its usually just over the third exahust port going from left to right if I remeber correctly. But if you already have the exahust manifold or a header on they can cover it up. Take a look to see if you can see it. Almost every ZC Ive seen is from an 88-89. If you have a 90-91 your a lucky guy. Ive only seen one 91 zc and that was in a picture.

is there a diff between the 88/89 compared to 90/91?

My ZC had it stamped on the front of the head, just above the manifold. It had a "90" punched into it with a circular date next to it.

 

i took off the header yesterday and saw the following #'s inside three circles

(3) (1/0) (1/1)

does this mean march 10, 91? *shrugs(
