>Has anyone here ACTUALLY USED the Phantom Grip LSD that can give me some insight???
First let me say, please only respond if YOU, yourself has used this unit. If you have not, I am notlooking for heresay and what your friends may have said about it.
With that said, is anyone here using the unit that would like to share their experience with it? I'm looking to get this unit for my turbo'd civic so I want to make sure it will work first. Thanks!

i personally havent, but a friend of mine has it on his 300whp eclipse. He seems to be happy with it. But you cant go wrong with a Quaife
I had the phantom **** in my B16 tranny. Didn't have any problems for about a month and then one friday evening i was at the track and went through the burnout pit to do my burnout. 5k rpm dump and bam, shot my spider gears through the tranny casing. It's really not a good design as all it does is lock the spider gears together. Using a quaife now and haven't looked back. You get what you paid for, there's a reason why it's so cheap.
i only hear bad things about it from honda people...most of the people that uses them on DSM are quite happy with the results. Maybe because of differ tranny designs....

Yeah I know all the names for it. Although most people call it that even though they have NOT used it.
I had one in my old civic turbo. It was ok. My stock trans lasted well over 200k miles with a lot of hard driving, so transmissions can last with the phantom grip. I wouldn't buy one myself again, but I don't really have any complaints about it.
Why would you opt not to purchase one again if you don't mind me asking? Did it work well?
we put one in a B20/VTEC EF with an S1 tranny... the only time the car is driven its driven HARD and the phantom grip seems to be worth the $300 if you ask me.. but like everyone said... you get what you pay for... it is a cheap alternative for those that cant afford a full LSD. Phantom Grip

I've used it and it worked fine in my B18C1 with a greddy kit. It worked properly, and didn't have any problems with it at all. I have since moved to a quaife, only because I got a new tranny and motor, and honestly, I can't really tell the difference between the quaife and the phantom grip.
