Default Anyone work in a body shop?

Can you tell me if it is possible to rid myself of my clearcoated/painted pin stripes without repainting the whole car? I was thinking some hard core polish would prob do it with maybe some light wetsanding and then some compound to rub it out...anyone?

Its not gonna work by wetsanding. sorry man. The reason being is that by the time you get to the origional clearcoat(under the stripe) you will have 2 layers(one old and one new) these layers cant be buffed together and melt in together. This in turn will cause lifting of the newer clearcoat and it will be extremely visible. Only way to do it is sand off the stripe and repaint.
