Need Opinions on a turbo
I have an 85.5mm LS block (almost a 2.1L I believe) and I'm looking to get a Precision SC61 turbo. I mapped the motor out on the SC61 compressor map from Precision's website and it seems as if the turbo is right on the money for me and my goals. My second choice would be the SC54 but they don't have a map readily accessible for that one. Anyone have any experiences (in regards of spooling, power production, etc) with either turbos on a 2.0L that they could share with me?
I plan on purchasing a full-race manifold, a 3in downpipe, and 3in Thermal as well.
Also, at 9.5:1 C/R, does 14psi on 93octane obtainable? I have a Hondata 4b to try to meet that goal.
Thanks a bunch!

What kind of sleeves are you running with 85.5mm bore for forced induction? I would think your sleeves are really thin for that bore size right now. GE recommend no more then 85mm for FI when i got my block done. Also, what are your whp goals? Paul
Yeah, they are pretty thin. I have the GE sleeves...they were 85 but I dropped a valve and, yeah, the rest you can guess. But anyway, I'm still gonna give it a shot; can you say "torque"?
The worst that would happen is that I'd just blow headgaskets right? Even so, I've got a spare block that I'll sleeve as well, probably to 84.5, and just turn the current one into an NA monster.
My goals are approximately 350-375 on the pump, 14psi (daily driven), and around 500 at 20psi on C16.

I'm not too knowlegable on turbo sizes but my goals are almost the exact same as yours. I've been talking to mike @ motormatrix, arturbo, viren, and otheres about the precision and the best i've come up with is the sc60. This should be very good street driving also. Best bet is to call precision and talk to them, then contact one of the dealers here on the board to order. Good luck, but 85mm sleeves crazy.
