Rewired Fuel pump. Car now runs like sh1t!
well, i have a 94 delsol vtec(b16a3) w/ a homemade t3/to43 turbo. i am currently running hondat s200 w/ boost, 440cc dsm injectors, and walbro 255 lp/h. everything is basically stock from cam gears to fpr. well, i read somewhere online that you can use thicker gauge wire going to the fuel pump like the dsm people do. so, i went out and got a 30amp relay and ran a 10 gauge wire to the pump. now, when my autometer a/f ratio reads all the way rich at the last bar during idle and even under wot. last night after i took it for a hard drive, i noticed that the cel light came on. so, i did the self-diagnostic procedure and it throws a cel code 43 which means fuel supply according to my helms. am i running too rich or is there something wrong w/ my fuel pump? i turn the key to the "on" position and i can hear the relay click turning the fuel pump on. what is the problem here?
well, i noticed that my car would bog and that car would hesitate when i was driving in the highway around 65-80 mph. the rpm would stay steady sometimes would just jerk struggling to maintain it's speed. kinda feels like a fuel cut. now, it seems like the wire made it TOO rich. i'm wondering, how do fuel pumps on our hondas work? is there a constant 12v of current flowing to it or does it vary? because my pump is basically "hardwired" and im thinking that the pumps need variable voltage to control its flow. i also installed the fuel pump after i got my hondata so maybe that's the problem.
