hello all i was just wondering what people are getting out of sohc vtec motors say in a 1990 crx si not full out like track cars but a good amount of power list mods thanks very much appreciated

z6's are great engines if you dont wanna fork out the money for a b16

i've had a b16 with ctr pistons, gsr head, gsr tranny in a 92 cx, and i have a z6 in my current hatch. the b16 was faster, but i like the z6 more. it just feels like a different motor. i think its also easier to get torque out of single cams than out of a b16

 

vtec was not introduced to the states untill the fith gen civic came out... the motor from the 90-91 civics and crx didnt have vtec unless you are talking about a z6 swap... it is early maybe i cant read yet...

actually it was introduced in 1990 with the nsx...

 

ive been in a few fast motored hondas for example cr-vtec in a eg hatch it was pretty crazy im a vw guy myself but i realized i wanna get rid of the jetta and get a crx ive just been told by a few people that its possible to make sohc vtec motors fast also how much boost could a stock 1990 crx si motor hold hahaha ya its probaly gonna blow up if i boosted it but ohwell thanks for all your info and for turbocrx trust me im interested in better motors and plan to build something along the line of a lsvtec but im just a poor teenager !!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks everyone sorry about the punctuation
