brake pads
i've been smelling this burning smell in my '89 accord, and i figured out its coming from the tire so i assume the brake pad is messed up. I'm planning on buying a set and replacing them. How much should i pay, and where should i get them from?
You should check your pads for wear first. If you see one is being worn more then the other you will need to do a complete service on your brakes. eg. brake fluid bleed, grease the caliper pins resurface the rotors or change them if needed, swap out the pads. When you brake how does your car feel? does it push to the right or left when you step on the brake pedal. If so, one of your calipers could be going out.
it doesn't move one way more than the other or anything, at least not that i notice. a couple months ago a guy put a rebuilt engine in it and he fixed everything up, so nothing big should be wrong with it. but i guess you never know
