less than an hour, provided you dont make any wrong turns and can find the track entrance in the dark after driving all night.

I can tell you how long it takes when you dont do either those, too.

I think it is around 60 miles, but not via interstate. I drove that way one year, not bad at all.

EDIT: ~60 miles to Camden. The track is another 20 or so miles out.

Other way around - CMP is on the Charlotte side of Camden. It (CMP) is 62 miles from my house (downtown Charlotte). From here it takes anywhere from 50 to 65 minutes drive-time. If you are in Burlington however, maybe it would be quicker to come down the way the guys from the Park go - don't know (MaddMatt, krshultz, bowie, r2x, the captain all live out that way, they might be able to give you an idea of drive time) but I'd figure you are about 2.5 hours out from Burlington proper coming through Charlotte.

thanks, burlington is about 3 hours from richmond, and usually it takes 5 1/2 to 6 to get to cmp if you go the I-95 most of the way, so it sounds like going via char. won't be that much different (assuming i don't miss the track in the dark)

Yep, once you pass the town of Kershaw (Executive Inn, Bojangles, etc ...) just drive 4 miles and you will see (from a pretty good distance out) a gas station on the left (maybe a yellow or green sign - no matter, its the only gas station w/in 4 miles ), the track is RIGHT there past the gas station by about 50 yards on the left.

Assuming you are going:
I-85 S to Charlotte to I-77 S
I-77 S to 485 (left)
485 to Johnston Rd. (521 S)
521 S to Kershaw

It takes right at 3 hours to get between CMP and my house in Cary, via US 1. We don't take I-95 from the Raleigh area as it is a considerably longer route.
