'89 Civic transaxle problem
My daily driver Civic si has started to make a noise that I think is from the transaxle. It's kind of like the sound a ratchet makes when ratcheting. Since it only does it in all the underdrive gears, I'm thinking it might be a countershaft bearing. Anybody else ever experience this? Sorry for posting this here, but I thought someone here might have had this same problem.
Also, assuming it is the transaxle, I will be looking to buy another one so I can just swap them out and not have my car down any longer than neccessary. If you know where I can find one (other than a junk yard) let me know here or email me at jdvogel@netzero.net.
Thanks
Jim
