Can I please see pictures of stock ITR mufflers and the tips.. I after searching for a while I couldn't come up with anything and even if i did it was a far away or blurry shot.. anyone have pictures of a nice clean shot of the muffler and the ITR tip.. thanks

I just recently orderd a ES oval muffler 2.5 and I like the ITR trip and i want to put that on my muffler... dose anyone know if where I can pick one up, dose the dealer sell just the tip, or anyone willing to sell theirs?

Not in the ITR forum to much so I don't know to much about ITRs but the exhuast tip on an ITR is 2.5 right? so it would work with my muffler if I did get a hold of a ITR tip?

 

I think you would have better luck getting a GSR tip because I asked this before and I don't think you can get one.

what dose the GSR tip look like and would it be big enough for a 2.5 outlet...

 

i'm pretty sure the ITR has a 2 1/4" ID exit pipe from the muffler...and since your EOS muffler has a 2 1/2" ID exit pipe from the muffler it won't work...

can anyone concur this with me?

 

The GSR tip is bolted onto the muffler while the ITR tip is welded on. You can see this by looking at the back of the tip. The ITR connects fully to the piping, and you can see the obvious connection for the GSR tip.

 

how much would you sell just the muffler?

 

The ITR tip is about 3" and necks down to the stock size, and the gsr is 2.75". You could probably cut the ITR tip to where it necks down to 2.5" and weld it on then.

GSR tips aren't welded on right.. they're bolted on to the muffler right.. because i was on some website that sold Acura dealer parts and they had a muffler tip off a GSR for 30.. but at the same time they said they had a bolt on tip of a ITR so i'm just assumming its a GSR tip if its bolt on right?

Yes, gsr is a bolt on tip. The ITR tip is a different size and length, so you should probably email the website to confirm what tip it really is.

ill sell you my muffler if you want it

 

I'm gonna get a Dynomax turbo muff from the auto parts store and have that fitted. I can then, if I choose have the muffler shop put one of those slash tips on it. The turbo muffler is the same shape as an ES oval, but I'll flat black it. It costs $40. The entire project will cost $90 and it'll keep my factory muffler intact. They'll build a whole rear bolt on section.
