NOS, Nitrous Express?? Which is better, cheapest place to find?? Couple of Q's
Alright, im looking to get a nitrous kit. Ive seen stage one kits go for around 535 bucks, they are nitrous express, single nozzle. I have also seen kits with 4 nozzles, which is better. Does NOS make good nitrous systems, where can you get a good deal on them. Id like to get a kit for around 6-700 bucks........And also I have a cold air intake, full catback exhaust, cam-gear, and an auto......Should I be good for a 50 shot??
i would never put money into an auto car.
but since you already have, check out venom dry nitrous kits. not as powerful but supposed to be much better for beginners.....if youre not a begginner i would reccomend nitrous express and definately invest in the bottle warmer.

anyway, NOS makes great kits, they're quality is awesome, and they have been around the longest, so you know they know what they are doing.
you can find a kit for around $500 at http://www.summitracing.com
be sure to get a bottle heater and a gauge at least, it'll make your n2o life much easier.
and yes I do have experience with this stuff, so you can trust me.
the only other kit I would go with would be nitrous express.
I've run a Nitrous Express kit for 4-5 years now. You need only look and compare the solenoids that Nitrous Express uses compared to say NOS, Zex and all the others to see the quality.
Unless you're making your own nitrous kit (which is doable and cheap/safe) NX is the only one I'd use.

Nitrous Express have very good quality silinoids and I love their kits. Have run them before and I will do it agian.
I would suggest you read up on the "do's and don't of n20" before you get started... that ensures proper use and lets you reduce the chance of un-ness. damaging you car.
Nos has been around forever and a day... they make very compareable quality products to the NX. Also another good choice.
As far as which kit... there are 3 kinds... dry n20 injection, wet n20 injection, and direct port injection.
The dry uses only n20 injected into the intake... more fuel has to be supplied from the cars fuel system to compensate (zex or most kits use raised fuel pressure during n20 injection). Single line, silinoid, and nozzle setup.
The wet kit uses n20 and fuel injected into the intake... adds the amount of fuel needed to compensate for the n20 via a second silinoid, feed line, but still a single nozzle with most brands.
The direct port is essentially a wet kit with a nozzle and feeds for each indivual cylinder. More effective and efficient as it is injected further down the intake track and each cyl gets a even balance of more fuel/ n20. Direct port is more expensive cause the intake has to be drilled and tapped for each nozzle and thier is more lines and what not to deal with.

Nitrous Express all the way. I paid $485 shipped for mine at http://www.groupbuycenter.com a few months ago. I think the price is even a little cheaper now. The NX kit is a lot better then the basic NOS kits. The solenoids in the NX kit are gigantic, very nice quality. If you live in an area where it gets cold your gonna need a bottle heater also.

I would also spend the extra couple bux to put a guage for n20 pressure either up front or on the bottle.
Then you know exactly what the pressure is.

im also a very satisfied NX sprayer. NX no hands down.
venom is a way over priced dry kit. its basically a zex kit w/ a fpss with labtop options.

i am in the process of trying to become a direct dealer for NX right now the only set back is that the standard buy-in is 2500 with a decent discount but i wanna do the 7500 buy-in with a great discount. ill be posting a group buy pretty soon for any sport compact kit either dry or wet(fuel and funny gas mixed prior to spraying *prevents detonation and leaning out of fuel mixture) in about a month and im willing to sell them for 12% of the jobber discounted rate that i get them for either way if anyone is interested let me know no money will be expected until i have all 7500 to spend on my own which since im already half way there i should be able to accomplish with the next few weeks coming FYI 12% below would be about 475.00 plus about 20.00 for shipping give or take a few dollars.
how much do u guys pay (on a monthly average) to refill? just want some figures
the normal price around here is $3.50/lb of nitrous. multiply this by 10 lbs. (regular 10 lbs. bottle), and then again by how much you'll use it.

id say go with zex so much more accessories to bullshit around with bro. I have an 92 accord with i/h/e with the zex nitrous kit with bottle warmer, purge kit that ***** awesome and pressure key regulator that shows how much you got left in it and i plan to get the fuel pump to help me never oing lean ever again
Unless you're making your own nitrous kit (which is doable and cheap/safe) NX is the only one I'd use.
