Default B16 block needed .25 over or stroked out to 1.8 ??

I'm getting a dirt cheap b16 block. I have ctr .25OS pistons. I need to bore the block to get these to fit and was getting some ideas. Could I stroke it with b18c crank and b16 rods to bump to 1.8? What are the issues with stroking out a b16? Whats the differences in the stroker kits and oem cranks? What about rod length on the stroker kits? I'm looking to put this into a show jdm del sol but want the HP to back it up if challenged. I'm looking for ideas on all motor first to help me out.

the deck height isnt high enough for that crank. you could do what im doing by making a poor mans gsr and use a b18 block and set it up kinda like a lsvtec with the oil feed out the back. it will make good power if you do that...oh yea mines going into a del sol too

Well I keep seeing different companies making stroker kits and want to know more about the specs of the kits and how they effect the b16. I've heard mixed reviews of adding a deck plate to help the height. Trying to get more tech info on this one before its off to the machine shop. I know I could get a b18c block but I have the b16 block already and don't want to spend a load of cash for this since its going to be my poormans Z3. lol

You would need to bore the cylinders out to fit the over sized pistons.. To me that is the better way.Stroking doesnt rev as fast, and if you dont use the factory rod angles it can cause vibrations and KAboooooooom! But it all depends if and what stroker kit you use....jun kit is really good.

Well I knew that I would need to bore it out for the pistons but that got me thinking what else could I do for it? Maybe if I find as good of a deal on a B18C block I'll just go that route. What about resleeving it to bump displacement? Im not sure on all the tricks yet. OR deck plate use?

dont use a deck plate..it will not be able to be daily driven.bore it out to a two ltr ...and some jun3's...good for 230 at the wheels!!!!

So your saying bore it out to 2.0 ltrs and use aftermarket pistons on stock rods or what? What pistons would be a good choice? How will this affect compression? Good choice on header for ALL MOTOR? Would the jun 3 cams be to harsh for DD? I have a set of CTR cams already.
