Default Does anyone have access to an OEM LSD and a tape measure?

I have always heard conflicting information as to whether ITR/CTR lsds can be retrofitted into early cable trannies. If anyone has access to one at the moment, i would appreciate the following three measurements. Thanks in advance

It can't be put into early cable trannies.

S1, J1, A1 and Y1s = NO!
*YS1 (LS, 92-93 GSR) = YES!!!
* Requires grinding of casing

99% of the people who say it wont fit have not tried it. I have spoken with a few people who have used them. I learned a long time ago to not trust any info i dont have first hand experience with, so thats why i need this info.

I'm already aware in the bearing differences, and the casing modification that would be needed.

Well I have an ITR LSD here that does not fit in any of my early cable trannies which are also here in various states of disassembly.

Is that proof enough?

Just get a Kaaz, that's what I did.

Rioninja:
So are you asking for confirmation in regards to a YS1, or earlier gen casings?

I second what he said.

It'll fit in the 92-93 GSR tranny (YS1) without a problem.

That is THE best cable trans.

I know it will easily fit a ys1, but they are not the easiest trannies to find.

Reid, could you please tell me why it wont fit. Everyone says "it wont fit, it wont fit". Thats why im looking for measurements, since i dont have access to one at the moment.
