get the air/fuel,..sure its not accurate but it gives you a idea,..or you can get a wideband o2,..then it should be acurate

whats a wideband o2? is it made by autometer?

so basically i would get an oil pressure gauge, air/fuel ratio gauge, and a water temp gauge? since im keeping it NA

if you are going to make an na monster, a oil press is key, but a/f and water temp is good too. you should be fine with those monitered

What about an EGT gauge for an NA application. I know it is a good one to have for FI applications but I am wondering if it would be of any use on an NA app. Also, I heard that an EGT is an alternative to an air/fuel gauge and can be used to read similarly and tune off of the same way an air/fuel is used, and is generally more accurate than an air/fuel. This is just what I have heard, please correct me if I am wrong, and any input on the value of EGT for NA is appreciated. Later.

the autometer a/f gauge isn't very accurate at all. it's just kind of a rough estimate.

for NA, water, oil temp and oil press is good.
normal A/F is very inaccurate, waste of $$$ IMO.

I have Air Fuel Ratio, Oil Pressure, and Volts.....the oil pressure and volts is because I've spun rod bearings and volts because I'm workin' on my 4th alternator and 3rd battery.....and the air fuel b/c it looks cool.....

in my own opinion...I don't believe that the stock water temp. gauge has to be as fast as your tach.....if that was the case then that would be the way that they would have made it....it moves fast enough for you to be able to tell whether it is supposed to be that hot or not.....

ok if everytime that you have looked at your temp. gauge and it was this far from the C ______....and then one day you look at it and it is this far from the C __________....you should be able to tell that the car is running hot.....
