Okay, this might sound like a noob question, and it probably is, but I was reading some posts a little while ago, and I saw someone post (i'll try and quote it from memory) "...getting a 93 si motor (d16z6) for cheap...."--now i thought that the d16z6 motor was what came in the EX not the si, or did they both get the same motor at one point?? the reason im asking, is because my 95 ex has a d16z6...i appreciate any help in clearing up this for me...im just a little confused...thanks!.....i'll try and find that post again and quote it directly...thanks

 

The 1992-95 Si (hatchback) and the 92-95 EX (sedan) and 93-95 EX (coupe) all had the same venerable SOHC VTEC 1.6 liter motor. (in USDM trim of course)

okay, cool, thanks....thats what i thought but the way that that guy was talking in his post made me second guess it...i appreciate it.....

 

yeah I also think that japenese EX's also came with the same d16, but just right hand drive and jdm trim

 

...and the 1993-1995 Del Sol Si also had the D16Z6 motor too.
