oil leak from distributor?

is it possible for the distributor to leak oil? Not talking about the cap but where it bolts up to the head.

It could be your cam plug or cam seal, Mine is also leaking at the moment i just have to get the money together to fix it. I hope that helps lates Greg

most likely a cam seal...also get a new valve cover gasket and u will be ok

there is a seal on the back of the distributer

I just changed mine. There is an o ring inside the distributor $2 from dealer. Its 2 bolts to remove the distributor. takes 5 minutes. change it!

So yours was leaking oil? THe distributor can only go on one way right.
