stupid question.... what the hell are city lights?
ok, let me get this straight...
-its not the headlights (when you turn it on)...
-its not the corner lamp lights (orange)
-but it is the dim (day time running) lights that automatically turn on when you start your car? im confused sorry.

As confused as you believe you are, you are correct, with exception to them automatically turning on.

In the US these would be our daytime running lights. That is why I when they lights, some people just have them wired differently for their own preference because normally the city lights will be on and the corners will be off as well. When the headlights come on, the city lights turn off.

OEM fogs will only work with the headlights on, unless you rewire it. Personally, I will not rewire what Honda spent millions in R and D wiring for me
Headlight switch with foglights as well.
1st setting-city lights/no corner lamps/no headlights/option to turn on foglights
2nd setting-no city lights/no corner lamps/headlights/option to turn on foglights
EDIT: Wire them to a switch

Well you made the right choice H22 =
Our city lights are only on when we turn on the parking lights. Don't really like the idea of daytime running lights for some reason. I know what you mean about the tight fit of the lights, my ac lines had to be bent out of the way.

Here, the corner lenses act as parking lights and turn signals. On a stock JDM honda, the city lights act as parking lights and the corner lenses and sidemarkers only act as turn signals. I know this is true for at least the EG civics.
well if its a 96-98 you can run the fogs separate from the heads...
thanks for all the pics everyone, i really appreciate it

? I do realize how the corner lights function here, but this post was made specific in spec to the JDM headlamps so the USDM counterparts are not valid to the topic.

Where did you get your JDM headlights and how much did you pay for them?
http://www.passwordjdm.com sells jdm headlights for $99.00 (92-95 civic specific on price)
