Default need help ASAP with Block Guard and Sleeve for B20VTEC Turbo Setup

I was looking up information about Block Guard's and Sleeves. A question that popped in my head was why would it be a bad thing if you used both the Block Guard and Sleeves at the same time. Some people I asked said its not possible. But my question is, what could it hurt??? Since the sleeves wrap around the cylinder walls and then the Block Guard is between the head and block??? Please help me, and give me a good answer, Im getting confsed about this. Thank you, it would be a big help...

i personally do not like block guards because they decrease cooling efficiency.
darton makes a sleeve set that has the guard built in though.

Block guard isn't between the head and block, it sits recessed in the top of the blocks water jacket.
Check out Golden Eagle sleeved blocks. They use both and their block guard is place correctly where the side loading is greatest, towards the middle. Not at the top of the sleeve where it increases heat in the bottom of the combustion chamber(ie. piston top) and inhibits coolant flow. GE design uses tangs allowing coolant to flow freely, instead of a solid piece with holes drilled in it.
