Belts make car sound like its supercharged???
I have a high output sound system and my belts make my car sound like its supercharged...is this normal and will it cause any problems down the road???
sounds liek a grounding issue.. is the sound comming through your speakers??? try re grounding your amps to a better ground.. and dont run your RCA cables near the power wire...
nope isnt coming through the speakers either, and Im not sure about RCA cables near the power wire....i didnt install the system...i can call him to see what the prob is....oh wait i did call him he said its normal...right
i think i have an idea of what ur talking about, is it only when ur speeding up faster then normal in like 1st and second, for me it sounds like my turbo is spoolin up, even tho im N\A ?????/

If it's the sound I think you mean I would guess it is either the bearings in your alternator, or in your AC Compressor or even the clutches in the AC Compressor going bad.
well it sounds more like a leaf rubbing against the belts..i listened close to the alternator and its not coming exactly from it its coming from where the belt mounts...say it is the bearings....thats not a good thing is it???
check your power steering fluid
check your power steering fluid
Power steering is fine...I check all my fluids on a weekly basis so I would know..this problem started right after I got my system put in..i noticed it right away.

Used Belt - 13.5-16.4mm (0.53-0.65in)
New Belt - 9.5-11.5mm (0.37-0.45in)
my belts make my car sound like a whine...kinda. like when i go past a wall, and i can hear my motor becuase the wall is next to me) i can hear like a SC sound. maybe its just my brain messing with me
Ya me too..after putting in my new engine, I can now hear a turbine like sound around the 3K rpm area. My A/C also sounded like a supercharger in 1st gear when it was on.
Oh well, if its bearings, I hope its accesories bearings and not engine bearings!

i know this is an old topic but i was wondering if the whining sound actually meant anything? i assume nothin went wrong? i just got a new h22 motor and it makes this sound but my old one didnt.
