sounds liek a grounding issue.. is the sound comming through your speakers??? try re grounding your amps to a better ground.. and dont run your RCA cables near the power wire...

I'm guessing you put in an high output alternator?

Try tightening the belts.

If it's the sound I think you mean I would guess it is either the bearings in your alternator, or in your AC Compressor or even the clutches in the AC Compressor going bad.

well it sounds more like a leaf rubbing against the belts..i listened close to the alternator and its not coming exactly from it its coming from where the belt mounts...say it is the bearings....thats not a good thing is it???

Power steering is fine...I check all my fluids on a weekly basis so I would know..this problem started right after I got my system put in..i noticed it right away.

How new is your battery? It might be the alt trying to keep up with the power consumption. You may need to buy a cap for your system or a better battery.

The Deflection (how far the belt moves when being pushed one way) is as follows;

Used Belt - 13.5-16.4mm (0.53-0.65in)
New Belt - 9.5-11.5mm (0.37-0.45in)

Ya me too..after putting in my new engine, I can now hear a turbine like sound around the 3K rpm area. My A/C also sounded like a supercharger in 1st gear when it was on.

Oh well, if its bearings, I hope its accesories bearings and not engine bearings!
