Well I was driving home yesterday after a huge snow storm and i noticed my brakes acting a little funny. when i would come up to interestions i would watch the speedometer to see if i was sliding or not (speedometer drops fast = you are sliding). well i noticed that wasn't happening...like the front brakes weren't working good. then on the next corner the backend came around on me. like the back brakes were locking up and fronts not working.

so i tried pushing the brakes down as hard as i could...butt in the back of the seat pushing...all at once it was like BAMMM front ones grabbed REALLY hard.

Why are the fronts not grabbing and the backs grabbing so hard? it's like the bias is reversed.

I have enough fluid and haven't done anything to my brakes in a long time. only thing i did was 4 months ago i changed my rotors and pads up front.

any ideas guys??? thanks ahead of time.

When was the last time you bled your brakes?

 

Sounds like you have air in your system. Dont mess bleeding your brakes. Bleeding will more than likely solve it but you probably need new brake fluid anyway. Can get it done at a Sears for $30-40

 

maybe you had a bunch of snow in your calipers.... sounds like air in the system like he said. be safe until you fix the problem though

 

Like everyone else said, try bleeding the lines. If that doesn't work, then it sounds like a bad proportioning valve.

 

Or try driving in reverse, that will fix the proportioning.
