One month before the ECHC mayhem begins!!!

So, who else can't wait to go and ruin some brakes and tires?

 

I should be there with the CRX to get observed for my Comp license. Tires...Yeah, I'll need some of those. Where's that list?

 

I would love to but I'll be in Steamboat snowboarding. I've got too many damm hobbies

Why??

 

Because you have to write off a set of pads, possibly rotors/tires in just one weekend.

Oh, and deal with the thought of possibly crashing into a tree if you hose yourself in the kink.

pads and rotors, maybe, but CMP is fine for tyres. The track surface is in great shape. But listen to the ITR boy complain about brakes and rotors. You should see what that track can do to GSR pads & rotors.

Rumor has it now there is a nice long tyre wall to catch you.

I will try to make the CMP weekend, though won't be able to race.

 

the way Corey likes the car setup and drives, tires don't last long at CMP

 

5th(First race of the season), and stay for the party Saturday Night.

 

It's still up in the air. I have a LOT to do to prep the car after I get it back from the shop. I might have to wait until round 2 to start beating up on you guys....

Having not driven the track (or even looked at the layout in awhile), why is it so hard on your pads and rotors?

 

The Slow Truns at the End of the Front and the Back Strait.

I know a lot of people do not like CMP however as a Spectator, some of the best passing/racing happened @ CMP, espicallin turn 11 and turn one. So I do enjoy wathing the racing there.. even if the racers do not like racing there

 

Lots of hard braking zones with not enough time to cool the rotors in between. T1, T8, T11, T12, T13, T14 and back around again.

hi guys.

i won't be there. motor is apart all over the garage. just got the head back yesterday morning from the machine shop. no way i will have the car running by then. plus, its just too far a tow for that particular track. its worth it to me to drag it to Lowes, but not to CMP...

Gotta count me out on this one.

Sucks I'm gonna miss the ONE race of the season that won't require a minimum 5 hour tow. Only 2 hrs to CMP from home.

BUT, I have a baby boy, James Worth Floyd (aka James Shumacher Fellows Said Floyd ), whom we are expecting to be born just about the same time you guys are racing.

See you guys at Lowes, some of ya earlier if you do SCCA - I'll be at the double SARRC at Roebling at the end of April unless something major changes....

 

Hehhe. Yea. CMP will make any brake setup cry. Well .. maybe not the 2200# (with me in it) EG Hybrid with ITR brakes I drove there last year.

No Reid or Floyd. Sounds like the field might be thin. Let's hope the new guys can fill the grid and ECHC can have a 20+ car opener like last year. I wish my **** would be together by then.

It sucks even more for me, not being able to make it to this race because not only does that mean thet I have to drive a lot farther to make the other races (although I doubt I will go to Summit, maybe once, but probably not at all and I KNOW I won't be at Beaverun) but I ACTUALLY LIKE CMP! It wears the **** outta' brakes, yeh, but I love a technical track. And that surface is soooooo nice and smooth...

But, at least there's still Lowes and VIR. Those places rock nads.
