Default How do I get rid of glass smudge - where door windows hits rubber?

I always get this residue from where the door glass hits the rubber and I've tried removing as much as I could w/ professional glass cleaner, but there's still some left over.

Any recomendations for a heavy duty glass cleaner or a way to prevent this residue from building up?

Steel wool and rubbing alcohol. You know what kind of steel wool I'm talking about right? Not the green ones you wash your sink with.

Yeh, I'll give it a go, doesn't scratch the glass?

Again, the right grade of steel wool will not. I don't recall the number. I want to say #001.

When you use it, it should break up like hair fibers, and left with almost a small piece when done. I used it on my G4 Civic (when I had it) to remove 8 years of heavy rain spots. It did not leave any scratches, and the windows were like new after. I also use along with some kind of "cleaner wax" that is no different from regular wax. I don't know the details of the stuff because my friend worked at a detailing shop at that time, and we worked on the car. But you can use alcohol as well.

Since you are cleaning the edge where the rubber meets the galss right? I would not worry about it too much cause it's not a major glass area even if something were to turn out not what you expected.
