Default 1984 civic (swap)

I'm about to get a 1984 civic hatch for free with only 95K on it but its a automatic and it does need a tranny.I was thinking about swaping a 86-89 acura integra motor into it. But the civic is carburated is this going to be headache or should I just keep it stock. I found a crashed up integra in my neighborhood that is totaled and the owner probably doesn't want much for it. So what should I do fellows.

you could put the integra drivetrain in it, that would be a pretty fun little car, but you need to remember a few things.......if your car is carbuerated, you'll need a fuel injected gas tank and all the fuel stuff, which you might be able to steal off the integra, i dunno.....and you would need to basically make an entire wiring harness, something i have done and probably wouldnt do again, unless it was on my own car, its hard to do that much work to a car you dont love. if this thing is such a prime example you think its worth the work, go nuts man, do it. i love the first gen crx's, i'm actually rebuilding one right now with a kid......awesome little cars.

Ummm so it seems like the wiring is going to be a pain the a*#. And I see that I need everything else such as gas tank, fuel pump, ect........ Man I might just keep it stock. I already have a hatch with a swap but I like the 3rd gens. After I seen Katman 3rd gen I got a ideal and a urge too hook up this one I'm about to get for free. I seen 3rd gen online for sale for like $1500 all the way up to $3000. I was like damn.

JdmB16ahatch, I didn't change my name dude its still Cory. I will find out if its manual tranny. The owner probably doesn't want much for it considering its totaled from the looks up it. I check it out for you its right down the street from me. Oh yeah I'm in Norristown about 20-25 minutes from Philly.

Keep it as auto...you know how hard is to find a civic auto???
Sell it and get a 1300 civic (lighter) and then do what ever you want...
84-87 civic are dirt cheap...but I like them more than 88-91 because they can take lot more abuses....they are virtually un-destructable...and dirt cheap to repair (mainly cv-joints)

seriously......dual carbs would ROCK on a 89 integra motor.......do that........i wanna do that.......i'm gonna do that, thats was a good *** idea. anyone know if the sohc 1.5 out of the crx has an intake manifold that bolts to a dohc integra? i heard it did....not sure though.

Dom, I knew it was you foul, lol
But yeah I"m going to check in with the dude or girl about the integra.
And dual webbers would be pretty nasty, but they cost loads amount of $, that I don't have right now. So I might just keep it stock and put 150 shot of nitrous on it, sike nah, just playing fellows.
