battery light on in a 94 civic coupe with a b18c1/obd1-p72 ecu
I was driving around today and my battery light came on. The car still ran fine. Nothing wierd was happening. I charged my battery for 24 hours and it's still on. Help!
That's telling you your charging system isn't working, not the battery itself. Your car will run off of the battery for a little while, its just not getting charged back up as you drive, like it should.
Look for loose wiring at your alternator, corroded ground wires, stuff like that. Then have the alternator checked out. Maybe voltage regulator, of if you're lucky just worn-out brushes.

Yeah, check your alternator belt... make sure it's turning when the car is on. If that's not it, take your alternator out and have it checked.
Um... yeah i'm a dumbass
. I checked under the hood and sure enough the alt belt was gone. Anyway, got a new one put one. Thanks.
