Default Finally decided to dyno today

I only have a short ram intake and custom 2.5" exhaust but I am pretty happy with the numbers

168.3whp and 151.2ft lbs of torque

As soon as I get my printout from Roadsounds tomorrow I will post my dyno sheet.

Goes to show how much better the JDM motors run.....

eBay intake, kteller8 catback, VAFC = 185whp/155tq on a buddies car

Just posting for comparison.

Yeah I definitely agree. The guys at Roadsounds just wanted me to dyno today before we did anymore mods. To kinda get a baseline idea of where I'm sitting. But I definitely will be taking your advice this summer and do some good ol tuning.

4Bidden, just wondering if your friend had dyno before and after the VAFC. Was he able to gain considerably from the VAFC? Just wondering for future reference on mine. Thanks.

He picked up maybe 3-7hp from the VAFC. Big gains are from lowering the VTEC xover.

jdm smaydm. I had 183.3hp with aem intake, tanabe exhaust, and vafc on a 2000 lude.
You paid a lot less for everything, though. I am not worthy of such thriftyness.

nice #, a while back I dynoed 161whp before tuning the vafc, and 164whp after tuning the vafc and that is on a bone stock 2001 SH - IMO its not too shabby for an SH.

Next dyno will be with an N1 and probably an intake.

PS - does anyone know if the aem v2 is coming out for preludes? I'm guessing it aint because the car is out of production

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing... 151 lb.ft is impressive! - especially with a short-ram intake.

Impressive more like impossible...fully built H22a's barely ever hit 150....

You might be on to something there... My dyno with Header and Cat-back was 183whp and 149 lb.ft (actual, not SAE). My torque was close, but I had 15 more WHP. So knowing that, I'd be interested to see how a 151 lb.ft torque peak can be made with only 168 peak HP...

96LudeSiVTEC: Let us know once you get the plots scannned. I can host them for you if you like.

But what if he posts up his dyno? Still won't believe it? (Assuming he doesn't photo-chop the chart)

That's funny you said that...

I had to remove those bars underneath the rear deck to fit my new speakers. So when I tried to open the trunk....DAMN! It's friggin HEAVY AS A *****! I almost broke my key once, cuz I could usually turn the key and it'll pop right up. But when I tried it that time, and lifted by the key...it didn't even budge! Let's just say that when you pop the trunk release, the weight of the trunklid locks it back down!

But CF trunklid on a white car....I think I'll make a fiberglass piece.
