Window slipping out of place when rolling up/down...any fix?
When I roll my window up or down, the front slips a little and goes up/down at an angle. So i have to hold it with my hand and guide it back up for it to seal tite.
I opened the door panel and loosened the screws that hold the guides in place and moved them in close thinking that would help but it didn't really accomplish anything. Do you know how this can be fixed? It's really irritating that you can't take off the inner metal panel...it would make things a lot easier if it did...

My ex had the same problem with her Accord. It turned out that the place where the window motor mounted to the sheet metal inside the door was stripped (bolts pulled through the metal) out so the motor would turn and put the window down at the wrong angle. It had to be welded but she ended up getting a new door. It was a major PITA.
same thing happens with my front driver side door .. only happens when it goes up though .. the black rubber piece that the window is suppose to go inside of, about 1/3 up, that black piece somehow gets stuck inside the window causing the window to go off track .. even though it does go up all the way, near the top it goes very slow and thers a slight open once its all the way .. kinda annoying when you're driving on the hwy and u hear the road noise going through .. no idea how to fix it though, but it seems like that black piece is somehow pressed in, i compare it to the other side and its defintly diff
my girl is having the same problem with her '90 accord. I was thinking that the window trim needs to be replaced because of the age. Anybody have any ideas.
interesting...since i just put that button on my 90 DX window...anyways, it does sound like it needs some lubbin' luvin. You could probably find some at any auto parts store fairly cheap...i've even read people buying it from HONDA! lol...well its your money.
If it's not that, i'd rip that sucker apart when i have time...take a GOOD look at it and test it with the panel off. (thats what you should do first). That way you could see where EXACTUALLY it's getting stuck and if it is a bent window rail, or the track needs to get replaced. Just hope its nothing wrong with the motor (window regulator). Then you're going into pop rivets n shiets
Hope this helps somewhat.
