Heat won't work anymore...
Anyone know of this is a minor problem like a fuse or something? It was working fine yesterday and this morning as I was driving to work I tried to turn the heat on and nothing came out of the vents.
I put it all the way to 4 and nothing, does anyone know what I should check out first? Thanks....

On your fuse box there is a 30 amp fuse located on the far right in it's own little holder, that is the fuse for the blower motor. if that is good, then take your glove box out, there you will see an connector connected to the vent system in the white plastic, take a stubby phillips screw driver and take out the two screws holding it in after removing the connector, there will be three windings of wires on the other side of that plastic piecs, if any of those are broken there is your problem. Go to the dealer and ask for the blower motor resistor and they should help you from there. Pretty cheap part too, less than $20 IIRC HTH

if your fan works and the only problem you're getting is that you're not getting heat, then it's your heater valve that lets hot air through the vents. It's probably just stuck. Have a friend slide the temperature control **** back and forth. Cold to hot and hot to cold. pop the hood and look back at the firewall behind the engine, to your left, you should see a little metal valve struggling to go back and forth. Lube it up with oil or some good ol' wd40 will work. let me know if you get it to work or not. good luck.
thanks for the advice, when I put the switch on 1,2,3,4 not even air comes out. It's just as if I would have the car off and set the switch and nothing happens...
The blower motor is bad. in position 4 (High Fan) the motor is run directly to ground. Pull the connector from the bottom of the white box. It connect directly to the fan if you don't measure 12 VDC at those two wires then the switch or wiring may be the problem. if you get 12 VDC then it has to be the blower motor. I have just recently replaced the one on my son's '89 CRX SI and my '88 HB. It's a real bear to get out and even more trouble to get back in. The Helms manual says to discharge the AC system then remove the evaporator box (black on connected to the white on just to its left looking forward. However I was able to loosen everything from the fire wall and with significant effort remove the fan/motor. You can buy the motor from Advance, Auto Zone for about $30. Good luck!
